Way society is an empanalled agency for Ministry of Micro,small & Medium enterprises, Govt. of India, New Delhi to provide Hand Holding services to first generation entrepreneurs and PMEGP entrepreneurs under Udyami Mitra scheme. Through this scheme way society is provide following escort services to entrepreneurs:

  1. Selection of entrepreneur through EDP trainings organized by WAY soceity
  2. Identification of skills / interests of the entrepreneur
  3. Assessment of financial and managerial capabilities of the entrepreneur
  4. Selection of suitable project keeping in view the availability of necessary skills/expertise, financial and managerial capabilities, market survey and viability of the project.
  5. Identification and selection of appropriate technology, plant and machinery / office equipment etc.
  6. Filing of memorandum (part-I) with DIC.
  7. Hiring / allotment of land and construction / hiring of work sheds/office space etc.
  8. Allotment of PAN.
  9. Registration under Sales Tax / VAT / Service Tax etc.
  10. Completion of ESI and EPF related requirements.
  11. NOC from pollution control.
  12. Other clearances / NOCs from local bodies/ Municipal authorities.
  13. FDA license/ other licenses as required under law
  14. Creation of the Proprietorship firm/ Partnership firm/ Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)/ Company/ Society/ Self Help Group (SHG) etc.
  15. Preparation of project report including linkage with available schemes for financial assistance (e.g. PMEGP, assistance schemes of Central/State Government, Banks etc.)
  16. Submission of loan proposal(s) to banks / government agency under the concerned financial assistance scheme(s).
  17. Tie up with raw material supplier(s).
  18. Power connection.
  19. Installation/ commissioning of the plant and machinery
  20. Successful commencement of production/ operations.
  21. Marketing tie up with buyers.
  22. Monitoring and follow up for a period of six months after successful commencement of production/ operations.

The objective of EDP is to provide orientation and awareness pertaining to various managerial and operational functions like finance, production, marketing, enterprise management, banking formalities, book keeping, etc. The duration for EDP is 10 days which will include interaction with successful rural entrepreneur, banks as well as orientation through field visits.

WAY society is an authorised training centre by Khadi & Village Industries Commission, State Office, Hyderabad, Divisional Office, Vishakhapatnam and A P Khadi & VI Board, Hyderabad to organize Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDP) to PMEGP beneficiaries in Kurnool, Ananthapur, Nalgonda, West Godavari, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, and Vishakhapatnam Districts of Andhra Pradesh state.

Through this EDP, WAY society organize 15 days training classes to PMEGP beneficiaries in various topics which helps to get success in their business establishments. WAY has trained 302 PMEGP beneficiaries during 2011-12 in the above said districts.

WAY society conducted 5 Design & Technical Development workshops under AHVY scheme to Koyylagudem cluster artisans in Hand embroidery,Appliue, Patch work and Block printing crafts at Koyyalagudem, Puttapaka and Gattupal villages of Nalgonda district and one Design & Technical Development workshop under Non-AHVY scheme. Total 180 artisans were benefited through this scheme and developed 120 prototypes. This prototypes displayed in various crafts melas organized by DC(H) and got 10 lakh worth market orders during 2011-12. These schemes sponsored and financed by Development Commissioner(Handicrafts) under AHVY and Non-AHVY schems. Shri S A Razaach, Dy Director(H) has taken photographs along with Gattupal AHVY block printing artisans during Design & Development work shop under AHVY scheme.

The NIFT designer showing various design to artisan in Design& Tech dev. Workshop organized by WAY society at Koyyalagudem of Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh state. Through this workshop the artisan produced various prototypes and got 10 lakhs worth of market orders from Adarsha Mahila Khadi samsth, Hyderabad.

Way society conducted 6 skill up gradation training programs to Koyyalagudem artisans under AHVY scheme at Puttapaka, Koyyalagudem and Gattupal village of Nalgonda district in Hand embroidery, Appliue, Patch work and Block printing crafts. Through this scheme 120 artisans were benefited and up grade their skill. Way society engaged 6 master crafts persons for these scheme and conducted for four months. The Artisans learned various technics and upgrade their skills during skill up gradation training program under AHVY scheme organized at Koyyalagudem by WAY society.

The Block printing artisan up grading their skills in Puttapaka with skill up gradation training programme organized by way society under AHVY scheme. Through this scheme the artisans produces nearly 3 laksh worth of block printing sarees.

The Artisans of Block printing craft at Gattupal villages of Nalgonda district learned various thechiks during skill up gradation training program organized by way society under AHVY scheme. Benefited Total 120 artisans were benefited through this scheme and upgrade their skills

WAY(Welfare for weaker sections women and youth development social service society) society is an NGO empanelled by Khadi & Village Industries Commission, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Development commissioner (Handicrafts) to implement Capacity Building Programme, Entrapreneurship Development programme since 2005. WAY society got sanction from Development commissioner(Handicrafts) to implement Capacity Building Programme in Hyderabad during 2011-12. WAY society successfully completed capacity building programme to 20 artisans in Hyderabad from 26th to 30th April, 2011 at conference hall, Hotel Sai prakash, Nampally Hyderabad.

Total 20 sessions organized with 20 senior experts during capacity building programme including field visit of Artisans. WAY society has brought all artisans who participated in capacity building programme to Successful AHVY cluster, Mahila Sanatkar in Hyderabad. Shri S A Razzack, AD(H),DC(H),Hyd explained the schemes of DC(H) to participants during Capacity building programme inaugural session. The programme organized by WAY society, Hyderabad at conference hall, Nampally, Hyderabad from 26th to 30th April, 2011.

Total 40 artisans benefited through this scheme and become entrapreneurs

WAY society conducted vocation training programme in fashion technology through its RISC ceneter in Choutuppal mandal of Nalgonda district. Through this 2 months scheme nearly 300 women benefited and got employment in nearly textile parks. This programme organized by WAY society own funding. Out of 300 women 200 got employment in Malkapura textile park and remaining 100 women got loan from IOB and AP Grameena bank to start their own units. Through their units the beneficiaries got marketing orders on piece basis from near by Hyderabad market.

WAY society organize health awareness camps in AIDS and TB disease. WAY society organized one day awareness camp in their training programmes during 2011-12. Nearly 700 people benefited through this scheme. WAY society also organized TB awareness camps through RNTCP programme in 10 districts of Andhra Pradesh state. Through this scheme WAY society co-ordinators visit the TB ceneters in every village and create awareness among the people and TB patients. The way society organizers also distribute free medicine with the help of AP state TB control society and distribute the patients.

WAY society also organized Adult literacy programs and consumer awareness camps in Nalgond dist. And Rangareddy district of Andhra Pradesh State. Way society conducted National festival programs on important days like 15th August, 26th Janauray, Gandhi Jayanthi, A P formation days in its office and their training centers.

The “Crafts Bazaar” was inaugurated on 16th September 2011 around 11 am. by Smt. Panabaaka lakshmi garu, Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles for State, Govt. of India in the presence of Shri. S Krishan Reddy, Hon’ble MLA, Nellore Town, Shri S A Razaack, Dy. Director(H), HM & SEC, Hyderabad & Shri. K Dhanarajan, Asst. Director (Handicrafts),HM & SEC, Tirupati with participated Artisans, Press, and with other Guests and Delegates

The organizers of way society welcome the Honb’le union minister Smt Panabaka lakshmi with huge gathering and poorna kumbam along with pandits. The Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles for State, Smt Panabaka Lakshmi lightening the lamp to mark the inauguration of Crafts Bazaar at Nellore of Andhra Pradesh state.The following executives of the Society & representatives of Service Organizations spoke on behalf of development of Handicraft sector and its marketing and gave messages about the encouraging steps being taken by the Society and Department of Handicrafts to better the economic conditions and stability of Artisans, as well as surrounding market-outlets for the sale of their products.

Smt Panabaka Lakshmi, Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles for State, Govt. of India has kind enough to grace this occasion, participated and gave motivational messages to the participating artisans and the general public/ visitors/ press/ media to the exhibition. She explained the schemes of DC(H) and welfare activities to the public and press. She requested the people and customers of Nellore district to buy the handicrafts products from crafts bazaar.is function lasted for about two hours starting with prayer, welcoming the VIP’s to Dias by Shri S A Razaack, Dy Director(H), lighting the auspicious lamp etc, the inspiring messages of the guests about the grand event “Craft Bazaar” and ended with offering vote of thanks by Shri K Dhanarajan, Assist. Director(H) and rendering “JANAGANAMANA” National Anthem. Then Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles for State, Smt Panabaka lakshmi along with other guests went round the stalls and interacted with the artisans etc and appreciated the skill of the artisans and for their enthusiasm in participating in the Exhibition at Nellore by traveling long distances from different corners of the state and country.
