Way society conducted social service activities for the benefit of the poor women & youth in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana states during 2014-15 with the help of various state/central government departments and private companies.

Objective : To enhance and upgrade the handicrafts artisans who are working under way society cluster at Koyyalagudem, Puttapaka and gattupal of Nalgond a district, Telanaganstate.

Benefited: 40 women artisans in Handblock printing and hand embroidery crafts benefited Through these two batches training programs organized at Puttapaka and Gattuppal of Nalgonda district



The Officials of O/o the Development Commissioner(Handicrafts), Waranagal have inspected the training programme and distributed the free tool kits to artisans arranged by Way society.

Shri Shri G Srinivasan, Assistant Director(H), O/o DC(H), Waranagal Inaugurated the skill up gradation training programme in hand block printing craft at Puttapaka of Nalgonda district. 20 women artisans were participated in this training progamme. This training programme started on 05.06.2014 and completed on 04.10.2014.

02. Design And Technical Development Workshops


Objective: Provide design & technology related inputs to the handicraft artisans to improve their productivity, quality and better marketability of their products.


Benefited: 60 women from Nalgonda district are benefited this scheme. WAY society engaged two Highly qualified designers from NIFT, Hyderabad and organized these two batches programs At Puttapaka village of Nalgonda district from 19.05.2014 to 04.06.2014.

Product Study And Market Assessment Tour Programme:


Objective : To gain knowledge towards marketing & designs of artisans products

Benefitted : 20 women artisans in Hand block Printing and Hand embroidery crafts from Koyyalagudem and Gattuppal villages of Nalgonda district are benefited.

Way society organized this product study and market assessment tour to Jaipur of Rajastan state to its cluster artisans. WAY society selected 20 women artisans from Gattuppala and koyyalagudem villages of nalgonda district and took them to jaipur for market assessment of their products developed through Design workshops and skill upgradation training programs.

The women artisans of way society participated in Jaipur for product study and market assessment of their newly developed design products.

4. MARKETING EVENTS:

Objective : Provide marketing platform to Handicrafts, Handloom and Khadi artisans.

Benefitted : 200 handicrafts, handlooms and khadi artisans from various part of India.

Way society to give top priority for providing marketing platforms to handicrafts, handlooms and khadi artisans across India. Way society organized District Level PMEGP exhibition sponsored by Khadi & Village Industries commission, Divisional office, Vishakapatnam at Vizag and Craft Bazaar, all India Handicrafts & Handlooms exhibition at Nellore during 2014-15. Nearly 200 artisans were benefited through these programs and achieved 2 crores sales.

Way society organized Khadi Gramodyog Mela-2014 at Vemanamandir, Vishakapatnam of Andhra Pradesh state sponsored by Khadi & Village Industries Commission, Divisional office, Vishakapatnam. The event inaugurated by Dr M A Khuddus, Director, KVIC, Vizag along with other officials of Vizag district.




  

Way Society Organized Crafts Bazaar At Nellore During 2014-15. Through This Market Eveny 150 Handicrafts Artisans Were Benefited. This Event Inaugurated By Shri Chakradar babu IAS., Commissioner, Nellore Muncipal Corporation

  

5. Hand Holding Services To First Generation Entrepreneurs:

Objective: The objective of scheme is to provide information, support, guidance and assistance to first generation entrepreneurs as well as other existing entrepreneurs through an ‘Udyami mitra scheme of Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India , to guide them regarding various promotional schemes of the Government, procedural formalities required for setting up and running of the enterprise and help them in accessing Bank credit etc.

Way society has been implementing this scheme in Andhra Pradesh since 2009. Through this scheme way society has enrolled 185 new entrapreneurs through edp training organized by ngo its self in various places of Andhra Pradesh state and providing escort services during 2014-15. This scheme sponsored by Ministry of Micro, small & Medium enterprises, Govt. of India , New Delhi.
